Chapeiry is a very small village of only 700 inhabitants in Haute-Savoie, in the Rhône-Alpes region. The village is part of the canton of Alby-sur-Chéran. It is located about ten kilometres south of Annecy, next to Viuz-la-Chiesaz, Montagny les Lanches, Vieugy and Seynod. The inhabitants of Chapeiry are called Chapeiriens and Chapeiriennes. The village covers 5.76 km², at an average altitude of 600 metres.

Saint-Martin Church
Of Carolingian origin, it has a side bell tower, a pre-Romanesque choir with a 13th century tufa vault and a sculpted baptismal font.
The Bridal Veil Walk
This is a beautiful country walk. While crossing wooded areas and small villages, you can see the Tournette, the Dents de Lanfon and the Parmelan. The walk starts at the car park on the left at the entrance to the village.
Follow the road on the right towards the vineyards, then the path on the right, signposted towards the Voile de la Mariée. The descent can be a little slippery, so take precautions with good trainers. You will then arrive at the waterfall. It is so named because it looks like a veil of tulle when the water is abundant.
You should then take the path on the left, in the direction of Charny, while crossing the footbridge again. At the hamlet of Les Granges, turn right and go to the junction with the D38. Follow the signs to Laydevant. Then take the road to Montagny-les-Lanches. On the left you can see a pond and, depending on the season, migratory birds. On the way back, go along the church to reach the car park.
