A great medieval festival
In a beautiful 15 hectare forest, you will be completely immersed in the Middle Ages. With 500 artists, 1,000 extras and 15 hours of shows per day, the most beautiful medieval festival in Europe. Attend jousting tournaments, sword fights, falconry shows, period dances and music, magic, great jugglers and many other beautiful things.
It is interesting to see the life of a medieval military camp, to observe the work of craftsmen on leather, metal and glass. For the gourmets, many taverns, stalls and inns are open to enjoy a feast and discover the flavours of the past. The farm animals will delight the youngest. The Grandes Médiévales d’Andilly also presents night-time events, unique moments with the magic of fire and encounters.
The Grandes Médiévales for children
There are various activities specially designed to help children discover life in the time of knights in armour. The daily life of a village at that time is exciting for the youngest because they can interact with the costumed figures.

Practical advice on how to get to the Grandes Médiévales
By car
– From Annecy / Chambéry: A41 exit 18 Cruseilles. It will take you about thirty minutes to reach the Grandes Médiévales d’Andilly from Annecy – From Geneva / Bourg en Bresse / Lyon: A41 North exit 19 Copponex.3 Then follow the signs at the motorway exits.
There are large car parks in the fields, and shuttle buses will take you to the medieval site. You should allow a day to make the most of the various shows on offer.
By bus
Frossard line from Annecy (train station) and Geneva (Cornavin station): stop at Jussy d’Andilly.
By TGV
Direct line from Paris: Annecy and Geneva Cornavin stations 15 minutes away by car.
Access for people with reduced mobility

Past editions
The 2022 edition
On 4, 5, 6, 11 and 12 June 2022, the2022 edition of the Grandes Médiévales is back for a plunge into the world of knights and princesses in Andilly in Haute-Savoie.
The 2021 edition
The organisers announced on 22 March 2021 that the 2021 edition of the Grandes Médiévales d’Andilly is cancelled due to the health crisis. As for the 2020 edition, this decision to cancel was taken to preserve the health of the public and of many artists and extras of this great popular festival.
